BACKJUMPS, THE LIVE ISSUE #2, BERLIN

>i thought that the whole space will be more edited for the content..

i think the organisation just asked some people and gave them some rooms available andthen told them to do whatever they wanted to do. "here is the key, do what you do best". it was the choice/problem of the artist him/herself how to deal with the space and present their work.

how would you see that then? you have ideas about that, how to 'edit'? should the organisation direct more outspoken?

i agrea that left part of bethanienhaus was not very chique for showing steady artworks and installations, but on the other hand i think its always far from perfect and the artists have to deal with it somehow or play with it, at least so their works are shown well.
pitty the city of names was gone already -was really a cool atmospherre there. especially in the week before the opening and the first week after.

well, perhaps some of the people where just to buzy traveling and exhibiting so the fun got lost, or perhaps to frustrated that the money wasnt there, or that others got bigger or better rooms to exibit in, or they just didnt 'feel it', which had its effect on their joy of making a good presentation.
but you liked the futura-thing you said? am curious what was it and what you liked about it then?

I don't think the movement is dead, simply many of the people that we're asked to participate to the show don't do much in the streets anymore: Stak, Inkunstruction, Lokiss, Skki etc.

>i was saying: i just posted a pic from a sski tag taken in the street in paris early 2005... i don't care if he is "hyper"active in the streets or not... the post of eko* just remains me that i have seen a few stuff from him in the streets a few months ago!

the ritaline pic is just a joke (because it's a famous drug against hyperactivity(ADD) for kids... with lots of problems etc. **)

* that means more or less :? :
you can have the opposite reflection that is quite stupid too.
putting a pic (of someone stuff) on internet don't mean/proove that this guy is hyperactive.

... there's also a funny south park episode ("timmy") about this!
Image

There's something wrong with new student Timmy. About the only thing Timmy can do is say his name. Ignorant of the fact that Timmy is "retarded" they believe he has ADD, which relieves him of the responsibility to do any homework. Soon the rest of the class manages to get diagnosed with ADD, and all get prescribed Ritalin. Everyone is on Ritalin and just complacent enough to sit through a Phil Collins show.
