Le travail de Shepard Fairey, aussi connu sous le nom d'Obey trouve son origine en 1989 dans la rue. Remarqué pour ses affiches frappante et invasive collées dans l'espace urbain. depuis l'artiste s'est affirmé à travers un travail fortdont il présente aujourd'hui les créations, en grande partie uniques, losr d'une exposition personnelle.

The visual codes used by Shepard Fairey, aka Obey Giant, are worthy of those of Stalinist propaganda, but here they highlight the mechanisms of advertising propaganda which invade public space. There's no telling what these images are selling, but whatever it is, it's all so seductive that it's hard to resist. Fairey's rising success has helped transform his once homemade Xerox style into lush multi-colored screen prints and uniques artworks that will now be presented at the show.

Don't worry..

Do you really think Andreas the Giant would have bothered with such a marginal artist as Shepard Fairy. Mister the Giant for those that dont know was a bonafide collector and patron of the modern arts who had in his collection various important pieces of the Arte Povera, Fluxus and DaDa movements. After his death this collection i might add was donated to the San Diego Museum of Modern Arts, and with this the circle came to al full because herr Fairy is working out of the same city.

Haha...ehhh...hmmm...not really, but if it exists, it has to be shown on this painting of Breughel, which depicts more than 100 Dutch "oldschool" sayings and popular wisdoms: maybe it's there? :eleph:
