perhaps its interesting to ask ourselves which exhibitions actually did work -or which parts, and/or ask ourselves if its possible in the first place to make a good urban art-exhibition or that its a contradiction by definition.

nb. since they are working on getting the beautiful loosers expo (twist/espo/edtempleton/etc) to europe, the chance is fucking big the press will write about it very seriously for a change and call this 'postgraffiti-exhibition'style again a typical american phenomenon...

...here is the latest news from the upmost south of Holland the province of Limburg and it's burning-hot graffiti-capital Heerlen. You might think otherwise, but no this is not Berlin, it's Heerlen in Holland.
To our BIG surprise the twins from Sao Paulo were invited in this cctv-paradise in that strange part of Holland to do a mural...apparently they had some leftovers from the Backjumps-show in Berlin, the week before.

We jumped some fences and got into the building and luckily inside we discovered some additional visuals for the only person living there who we were lucky to meet on the roof, the model that the twins used to draw from, a funny character with a big nose and an adorable umbrella.

Strange town, Heerlen.

ofcourse the tags and trowups where already there. as minimal the work is they did, at least they left the graffiti where it was.
not quite the same case with the osgemeos wall though-as the buffspots proof.. (more about this same stuff(gossip) in berlin perhaps later in this magazine).

weird walls they call this project in heerlen (NL), but it was quite wacky i must say. -except for that os-gemeons wall on that building. not so different from the one they did in berlin, but nevertheless big enough to impress. it could make a nice series like that in a year or two - great material for the taschen coffeetable-book soon to come out.
but,fan or not of their work, here is some 'less impressive' thing they also did in that same town for the same project.. it was announced as "a bonus-work" for the cultureweek of the town. hmm, quite a bit pushed away in a pissy corner of the square also.
