urban art just is a fucked up term
if i have to choose a generic name to speak about all the range things that usually the medias put in the same bags personally i prefer
"urban design"(en français:
graphisme urbain)* than "street art" or "post graffiti"...
I really don't understand all this blabla just for the few words "arte urbana" added to give a brief description of the event... for me it's exactly the same when you put 2 or 3 words** on the flyer of a hardcore-punk to give an idea of the sound of the bands.
It's like using "urban culture" to describe a festival with breakdance, skate, rollers, bmx ...
So on this point of view, i don't see why be surprised about this qualifier...
NB: just notice one thing: the name of this festival was only "
arte bastardo"... not "urban" machin-bidule...
* because it's less presomptious/ambitious ...

** ...and sometimes the styles of music could mean very different things... or very different words can be used by diffrents promoters to describe the style of a same band! for exemple i have already seen the words "emorock", "mathrock"or "indy pop" for the same band!)
