I think that when people makes paintings in the town it's a kind of urbanity
presence.

The real question is

what is not urban ? what ain't street art ?

One more question

When you sometimes work in desaffected places, like Dem666, are you still working on urbanity ?

The final question

why working on urbanity ?

Example with France:

La population urbaine de la France métropolitaine comptait en 1999, 44,2 millions de personnes, soit une augmentation de 2,3 millions de personnes par rapport à 1990.

44.2 millions of french people live in an urban zone. (there are about 62/63 millions of people living in France)

seems to be a great festival...

but urban what?

skip it...if a brand of potatos comes up with this type of commercials, it seems we reached the end of the urban cycle!

next question is: what's next? :book2:

Because of Google Earth, there are many companies which paint huge logos on the floor (to be displayed on satellites photos).

Someone reported me that a friend of him has been dismissed of his school because he has painted his name on the roof of his school (with the hope to be seen on google earth... :spin: )

It's strange that everybody notices that "urban" word and not "bastardo"...

TRUE...

the reason why i noticed urban is because i don't see why a lot of festivals use this term... urban this, urban that... haha

urban art means more then just pieces and throw ups , it includes past ups, installations and all the other stuff in an illegal and legal way. but maybe that's the problem , why you don't like the term of "urban art".
nowadays you have the option to paint trains illegal at night and do some legal stuff on daytimes- payed by the same losers ,who are telling that trainpaniting is shit. in my eye's that's the only way to survive with your own stuff , if you don't want to work as a construction worker or in a fucking facility.
i won't tell those authorities what they like to hear , for me all the illegal stuff is more important then the legal stuff , but those two things i love .
that's why urban art

urban just like that doesn't say shit. the term urban art sounds like 'air guitar'. / it's such an open frame that indeed everything fits under that brandname. from all sorts of fashion, paintingstyles on all sorts of backgrounds, legal or not, performances music what the hell not!
sounds to me like people that come up with that label dont have the guts to really choose, or represent something more concrete (sic).

why not call it 'urban intervention art'..

sounds like a very old old (streetart) topic though....

[ mad stuff by blu though again (and again and again) ]
